ATIKU ABUBAKAR AND PETER OBI HEAD FOR SUPREME COURT TO CHALLENGE PRESIDENTIAL TRIBUNAL’S JUDGMENT

2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, is vowing to go to the Supreme Court to challenge the dismissal of their petitions against President Bola Tinubu’s election by the Presidential Election Petition Court.

Speaking at a press conference at PDP National Secretariat, Abuja, the former vice president described his loss at the court, which is the court of first instance as a battle, noting that the war was still ahead.

He explained that while he respected the court judgment, he respectfully rejected it because it fell short of justice.

The former vice president further said that the 2023 presidential election leaves behind unenviable precedent which the court has a duty to redress and evident in what he described as INEC’s compromise in the deployment of technology.
