Coalition Of South-Eastern Lawyers Support Tinubu On Fuel Subsidy Removal
South Eastern Lawyers for Equity and Good Governance, a coalition of lawyers, has expressed its support to the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the removal of fuel subsidy that has been bedeviling the nation.
In a communique issued at the end of its general meeting in Umuahia, the Chairman, Prince Obinna Nwabiaraije disclosed their support for the removal of fuel subsidy by the administration of President Tinubu in the best interest of the country.
The coalition called for the immediate suspension of the planned strike protests by the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC), urging the Labour Unions to embrace the avenue of dialogue with the Federal Government to allow the president of the country implements his agenda for the people.
They demanded the immediate rehabilitation of the country’s refineries and issuance of necessary palliatives in order to ameliorate the hardships occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy.
