Tinubu Returns To Nigeria after ECOWAS Confab In Guinea-Bissau

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after attending the two-day 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Guinea Bissau.

President Tinubu emerged as the new Chairman of ECOWAS less than 45 days after becoming the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

As the chairman of the Commission, President Tinubu called on the leaders to give priority to regional security, tackling terrorism and strengthening democracy in the sub-region.

President Tinubu however, warned that the threat to peace in the sub-region had reached an alarming proportion with terrorism and an emerging pattern of military takeover that now demand urgent and concerted actions.
