Governor Otti directs the immediate suspension of the Head of Service (HOS) and all Permanent Secretaries in the State.

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has directed the immediate suspension of the Head of Service (HOS) and all Permanent Secretaries in the State civil service.

This is according to a statement signed by the governor’s chief press secretary, Kazie Uko and made available to ENYIMBA FM.

The Governor also approved the appointment of Lady Joy Maduka, Director, Ministry of Education, as Acting Head of Service (HOS).

Two Permanent Secretaries were excepted from the suspension. They are:
John Pedro Iroakazi – Clerk of the House of Assembly and 
Mrs. U. G. Uche Ikonne – Solicitor General

This directive takes immediate effect.
