“Mike Ozekhome And Ifeanyi Ejiofor Are Still Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyers” —IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra has clarified that Mike Ozekhome, SAN, and Ifeanyi Ejiofor, are still legal representatives for the pro-Biafran leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

The IPOB group also dismissed the reports making the rounds that both lawyers have been disengaged from Kanu’s legal team by his family members, adding that Kanu’s family members can’t sack the lawyers because they were engaged by IPOB.

In a statement, the spokesman for the group, Emma Powerful, said enemies of Biafra were spreading the rumours in order to provoke the legal team to abandon the struggle to free Kanu from detention.

The group, therefore, encouraged members of its legal team not to be distracted or discouraged in their fight for the unconditional release of Kanu from DSS detention.
