Buhari Sends Ramadan Goodwill Message To Muslims

President Muhammadu Buhari, has urged Muslims to use the Ramadan season “to project the best and finest virtues of Islam by personal conduct, and not precept.”

In a goodwill message to mark the beginning of the month of Ramadan, Buhari sent greetings and best wishes to the Muslim faithful as they commence 30 days of Ramadan fasting.

According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the president urged Muslims to use the opportunity to put the best teachings of Islam into practice.

Noting that the Ramadan is characterised by abstention from food and drinks from dawn to dusk, the President said the both the rich and poor share the experience of hunger, thereby strengthening the bonds between haves and have-nots.
