President Muhammadu Buhari Urge All sectors, To Incorporate Measures That Would Enhance The Empowerment Of Women And Girls.

President Muhammadu Buhari is urging government, private sectors, traditional and religious leaders to incorporate measures that would enhance the empowerment of women and girls in the country.

He made this known in Abuja at the launch of a High-level Advisory Council on Nigeria ‘s Support for the economic and educational empowerment of women and adolescent girls.

The High-level advisory Council on Nigeria’s Support for women and Girls was meant to provide strategic guidance, policy support and monitoring of government and gender equality initiatives as well as advice the nation’s financial partners on critical areas of support for women and girls.

Consequently, the Federal Ministry’s of Women Affairs, Education and Finance, Budget and National planning a, Co-chairs would work together with state governments and other key players to prioritise areas where support are needed to accelerate gender equality in the country.
