President Muhammadu Buhari meets with the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum On Lingering Cash Crunch In The Country.
President Muhammadu Buhari has met with the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) and Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, and the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Abubakar Bagudu in an attempt to find “an immediate solution” to the suffering brought about by the lingering cash crunch in the country.
The meeting, which took place in Abuja, also had Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, and Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, in attendance.
Also present at the meeting was the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, as well as the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.
Although details of the meeting were not made public, it may not be unconnected with the nationwide cash crunch, propelled by the Naira redesign policy.
