INEC expresses confidence that Voters will have seamless accreditation with the use of BVAS
The Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu is expressing confidence that Voters will have seamless accreditation with the use of Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, (BVAS) during the forthcoming general election.
Professor Yakubu made the remark in Abuja during a tour of the City-Centre and another point located at Etsu Sabwaya Palace, Bwari, Abuja, to monitor the progress of the mock accreditation exercise.
He said the exercise was to ensure that the Machines were working optimally before the commencement of the general election on February 25.
The INEC boss said the Commission has identified about 437 polling units nationwide for the test-running of the BVAS Machines.
He assured the public that the Commission’s technical staff would be on the ground to either fix or replace any machine that malfunctioned on election days.
Some domestic and foreign observers were seen monitoring the Mock Accreditation.
