Federal Government will soon make pronouncement on salary increase – says Dr Chris Ngige.

Minister of Labor and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige says the Federal Government will soon make pronouncement on salary increment to cushion the effect of the high inflation rate in the country.

The Minister made this known to newsmen after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja.

He said that the Presidential Committee on Salaries is working with the National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission to work out the increment.

Dr Ngige said a Presidential Committee on Salaries is doing a review of the existing salary structures and is expected to come up with salary adjustment early in 2023.
