President Muhammadu Buhari is urging the armed forces to maintain their resilience in protecting the nation’s citizens, assets and unity.
The President gave the advice in Kaduna, after reviewing a parade, mounted by graduating cadets of Regular Course 69 of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA).
The President, who arrived the parade ground in a cheerful and energetic mood, told the graduands to demonstrate with valour the virtues upon which the NDA was founded, stressing that he trusts they will do so with uncompromising dignity and honour.
The president also scores his administration high in the area of procuring more equipment and hardware for the military and other security agencies of which he said has yield positive in the fight against insurgency, banditry and violent agitations.
Among the 237 graduating cadets, comprising Army, Navy and Air officers, some received awards for outstanding performance in training and education.
